This event is led by WACMN in partnership with the WA Landcare Network (WALN) and Perth NRM and is proudly sponsored by Department of Planning Lands and Hertitage, the WA State NRM Program and the WA Local Government Association.
The 2025 WA Coastal and Marine Stewardship Forum brought together diverse voices from across Western Australia for a dynamic one-day event focused on the state’s changing coast. Held at the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club, the Forum brought together Traditional Owners, scientists, planners, coastal managers, volunteers and community leaders.
The day featured expert presentations, hands-on masterclasses and a CHRMAP session delivered in collaboration with WALGA and DPLH. A field tour showcased the Coogee Beach Community Dune Rehabilitation Project, followed by a sundowner celebrating coastal excellence at the WA Coastal Awards.
The forum brought people together to explore practical approaches, strengthen connections, and inspire collaborative action for Western Australia’s changing coast.
